About the Noon Reboot Retreat venue

You’ll be staying at Broughton Hall, seat of the Tempest family for 1000 years (Roger Tempest and his partner Paris Ackrill still live there). There are 20 bedrooms, some of them have medieval panelling, others gracious Georgian windows and views over the river and gardens. All are steeped in history. It’s like hanging out in Downton Abbey. We live, eat and socialise in the Hall itself.

What are the Noon Reboot Retreat activities?

Workshops are held in the world-class purpose-built spa Avalon, and some meals eaten in Utopia, Broughton’s restaurant. There will be walks, forest bathing, fire ceremonies, wild swimming (if you like it), fresh air, delicious plant-based food and lots of excellent chat. The retreat will be led by Noon Founder Eleanor Mills, with life-coach Heidi Fossali and there will be talks by Noon’s work/life expert Lisa Unwin, Rachel Peru, Tamsin Calidas (author of Sunday Times bestseller I Am An Island) and others.

Itinerary

Monday, 11th October

  • 12 pm, Arrive at Broughton Hall: Settling into your room inside the stately home. Lunch made by Broughton’s acclaimed plant-based chef. Welcome speech by Noon Founder Eleanor Mills – this is the age of opportunity, we’re not going quietly into that good night.

  • 3.15 pm, Forest Bathing: Bring your wellies, a waterproof and sweater and get ready to feel like a kid again.
  • 6 pm, Spa Time: Jacuzzi, steam bath, swim, sauna all in the Fibonacci-inspired world-class facilities.

  • 8.30 pm, The Red Drawing Room, Noon Speaks: In conversation with Tamsin Calidas, author of I am an Island, Vogue’s memoir of the year, Sunday Times bestseller. Tamsin tells her powerful story of personal transformation, as she went from a London publishing party girl to becoming a crofter on a remote Scottish island. Through childlessness, divorce, loneliness and isolation, Tamsin rediscovered her true self and her purpose through immersion in nature and wild swimming.  We are hoping Tamsin will join us in person, but given the vagaries of weather and her animal menage she might speak to us via a video link from her island in the Hebrides!

Walking proof of our Noon motto: So Much More to Come.

With the help of some our advisory board and other experts, we’ll teach you how to eat and exercise better. Some targeted life hacks now can have an enormous effect on how we age, these can be as simple as always taking a brisk morning walk to set your circadian rhythms or learning which seven fruit and vegetable portions to eat to boost your immune system

What to expect from the Noon Reboot Retreat

Over the four days we will roam the 3,000-acre estate, go wild swimming in the tarns on the moor, explore the Tor, forest-bathe in ancient woodland, spend an evening singing and dancing in the fire temple. Best of all we’ll luxuriate in Broughton’s Sanctuary spa.

Erected on Fibonacci principles, it boasts a glass yoga studio suspended above the forest where we will indulge in some mindful movement, rejuvenating breathwork and relaxation, before adjourning to the private indoor pool, whirlpool spa, sauna and steam room. A 90-minute massage is included in the price of your week.

Every day we will also explore where we are at emotionally. Eleanor Mills, Noon Founder, will put her journalistic skills to work helping you refine and tell your life story. We’ll do some journaling, some creative writing, a couple of sessions on post-traumatic growth, learn how to repot our lives so we continue to flourish in midlife.

Who are the Noon Reboot Speakers?

Inspirational speakers for the evening key note dedicated to the theme of transformation include novelist Tamsin Calidas (author of I Am an Island) and Kati Taunt, trauma specialist. Noon founder Eleanor Mills will be helping lead discussions and mingling.

Most of all this is a chance to hang out with some amazing like-minded women and form some new friendships. The great thing about new friends is they meet you as you are now without all the baggage of decades, it is almost as if we create ourselves anew in their eyes. And you will be amazed at how many of your own anxieties and problems are mirrored by the rest of the group. This is a chance for you to work out who you are now, how you can make the years you have left really count. And most of all to have some golden moments, those times when you know in your heart that right here, right now is EXACTLY where you want to be.
